British Automobile Racing Club
A British organizing club spanning touring cars and grassroots motorsport.
What is British Automobile Racing Club?
The British Automobile Racing Club is one of the oldest and largest motor racing clubs in the world, and the organising force behind an enormous slice of UK motorsport — from the British Touring Car Championship weekends it runs at circuits like Thruxton and Croft, to dozens of its own club championships for Caterhams, Minis, trucks and hillclimb specials.
BARC is an organizing club, not a single championship with one points system. Its meetings bring together different categories; check the meeting programme to see which championships are attending.
How a race weekend works
A typical BARC race meeting packs ten or more championships into one weekend, with short sprint races of 15–30 minutes running back-to-back all day.
The club also runs the British Hillclimb Championship — single cars attacking narrow parkland climbs like Prescott and Loton Park against the clock — and the British Truck Racing Championship, five-tonne race trucks and all.
How to follow it
Use the club's event information to find coverage. A watch link is shown in our calendar only where one has been supplied.
Before attending, check ticket prices, paddock access and the day's timetable with the circuit; these are not uniform across club meetings.
